Of course I'm a fan. I like chrome, I like linux and I like fast boot. I do think that disabling support for USB devices such as printers, cameras and memory sticks is a step too far though. That positions these devices as complimentary to a windows pc, rather than offering an alternative. A compromise would have been to provide generic drivers to force manufacturers to standardise.
Also, quite disappointed with the size and weight of these machines. If they are only running a browser, couldn't they have been much lighter and less bulky?
Despite these concerns, I've no doubt that browser based OS is the way to go for people who don't want to risk data loss or deal with maintenance of an OS. Good for google for getting this started.
